  • Thanks! I'm really nervous. I could barely sleep last night. Kept having interview dreams.
We have so much time, and so little to do! Strike that, reverse it.

With all of these interviews going on, I spaced yours was today too!  How did it go?

  • Oh, how did it go, Mames?!?! Did they bring up salary?

  • Sorry to hijack your thread, Leigha!

I'm C&Ping my reply from an email I sent to others. :)

I met the other two people in the marketing staff. We had a casual chat in the building's cafe. Then I toured the building.

I think I was the first one interviewed of the "short list" from how the Marketing Director described me to another director-type person who I chatted with also.  ETA: no salary discussion

There were no weird questions! I was just asked to basically share my job experience to the other two and they all told me what their specific functions were.  I should know next week. They're looking for an Aug 1 start date.

  • Sounds like it went great Mamie!

Good luck Leigha!  I hope you get the job and can move back to the city :)

  • Good luck, Leigha!

    Way to go Mamie!

  • Thanks guys!

Leigha, come back and update us on yours!

  • Ooops, just updated on the where's everybody thread. It went well, as far as I could tell. No tricky questions, no substantive pop quiz, just asked about my experiences, my resume, why I wanted to work there (probably only the second time in an interview I could answer that question honestly!).  They're interviewing all next week, and then expect to make a decision within two weeks after that. It's still a long shot. They require 3 years experience and I only have 2, but I'm hopeful!

  • Leigha... glad to hear there were no curveball questions! They should overlook that missing year of experience and focus on your awesomness. So you may not hear anything until early August?

Wow, when you put it that way! Yeah, looks like.  That's cool though. Because IF I were to get the offer, I'd still put in two weeks notice at my current job, meaning I probably wouldn't start until late August or Sept 1, which means less time commuting against traffic before our current lease it up on Halloween. Plus, I'm 95% sure this other job would be a pay cut (but one I'm willing to take for my dream job).
