In the office? Those are just 4 of the short Billy bookcases installed next to each other. We got extra shelves and the lights and I think it makes it a little less in your face BILLY.
myst33 also has a great Billy shelf system in her loft. I wish I had that space.

I like the Expedit too, but I've wondered in the squareness wouldn't be awkward for use as real bookshelves (rather than just decorative shelving.
Yeah, the expedit is cool for storing my kitchen stuff. But I had trouble fitting my cookbooks in it.
I will say that the Billy feels much more substantial than the Expedit. I think having the backing, even if it's just cardboard, really gives it extra stability. I might not feel comfortable loading the Expedit down with a tone of books.

Even though I believe we may have some differing opinions on color, I think we are house decorating soul mates. At the very least, we seem to have a similar obsession with West Elm and Ikea.

Thanks dude! However, I wouldn't call it brave. I'd call it lazy. Even if I don't dig a color, I am too damn lazy to repaint an entire room after I just did it. So, I let it sit, and eventually, it grows on me - like fungus.
