***Joyco or Longhornbabe***

Do either of you know a place in NB or San Marcos where I can buy black tubes? Not the plastic/vinyl ones but the black tire tubes? Need a few for Aquapalooza!

TIA!

Re: ***Joyco or Longhornbabe***

  • I've found them at Academy before.
  • Hey there girlie!

I believe a bunch of the tire stores have them (like Firestone and such). When I head out in a bit, I will look as I am driving around town! :) I am a spoiled brat when we go tubing. I insist on tubes with drink holders and neckrests so I haven't bought any of those in YEARS!!!

Assuming you are referring to the white/blue ones that can be found at Academy? I might be inclined to go that way. Are they as sturdy as the ol' trusty black ones? I'll definitely need a drink holder for tomorrow.

  • Just got back from tubing!

I have had really good luck with the blue and white River Run tubes! :) I love the net bottom and drink holders. I buy them at Walmart ($15). They also sell the floating coolers to match! Or you can do a double River Run tube ($30) that has a built in cooler in between the two seats. At the CVS and Academy in this area, they are much more expensive.

I looked around for the old school black tubes and didn't see any. Normally the tire places around here but I didn't see any. :(
