I'm super exhausted today because I stayed up too late last night drinking wine, so I need something to get me through the day!!! Adam and I giggled like little kids last night because we both started saying our "R's" as "W's" (like in An American Tail... Welease the Secwet Weapon!!!) so we definitely did not go to bed as early as we had planned.
Keep me awake!!! What are your plans for the weekend??
I think we're going to go to the river Saturday. We're dog sitting my parents' dogs again this weekend, so that will be annoying, but oh well. I can't wait for Monday. We're going to the Southern League All-Stars baseball game. Lots of beer and YAY funnel cake!!!
Re: Soooooo....
TGIF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We have no solid plans for our wknd, which is great. DH just got home this morning on a red-eye from CA so I was late getting into work b/c I wanted to wait for him :-) Tonight I have dance class and then the wknd is wide open. We'll probably go out for a nice dinner on Saturday night to celebrate his promotion and catch up on yard work, go see a movie or something. Just hang out and enjoy being together.
Today's HH's birthday. And I'm totally pissed at him. Like 2 months ago, his mom & I went in together & bought him a plane ticket to go to his cousin's wedding in Colorado for his bday. He's been complaining NON STOP ever since he found out that he doesn't want to go blah blah blah. He even went so far as to say, "My brother was right. See, women DO this." This? What is this "THIS" you speak of?? "They make these plans and then FORCE you into doing them even if you don't want to, and if you don't they make your life miserable." Ugh. Puhhh-LEASE.
This morning, we get up at 5am, go pick up his sister, her bf and his mom. We drive allllll the way to the airport. Everyone gets out, gets their bags, and I asked HH if he had his bag. He said, "I'm not going." And gets back in the car.
Basically, I think I will probably be holding back the urge to SMOTHER THIS MAN IN HIS SLEEP this weekend. Welcome to "MISERABLE LIFE" my dear, because I'm furious. What a f'n waste of $220 bucks.
Other than that, I'm once again, playing ball this weekend. And maybe I'll pick one night and get completely SMASHED. Hell, maybe I'll go all-out and just spend the entire weekend that way.

Yeah, he said to his mom that he'd like to go, way back in February when we found out his cousin was getting married.
Then he told me last night, "You don't just book something like that without telling someone and discussing it with them first." I said, "Well darling, that is the nature of a surprise/gift! Do YOU tell people what you get them for Christmas? Noooo, you wrap it up so they don't know, and then watch in enjoyment as they open it and find out what it is."
Then he asked me if I'd be happy if he "did that to me". Uhhh...dude. You're seriously asking me if I'd enjoy hopping on a plane, going to explore a city I've never been, visiting with family I see maybe once every 3-4 years, and getting away from my kids/stress/job/etc. for 3 days??? BIG FAT YESSSSSSSSSSS I'd be happy!

Ughh.. That sucks! I'd be pretty upset too, then.
I have no plans for this weekend other than continuing to get this house in order, go to church, might go for a run, bake some cupcakes, watch some movies...HH is leaving for work on Saturday morning and he'll be gone for two weeks, so I'm going to have a lot of down time and I'm NOT looking forward to it. I just got here last week, and already he's leaving again...I might be fighting off a lot of sadness so will need something to entertain myself
Tina - I would kill HH if he pulled something like that. To get all the way to the airport and then pull a stunt like not getting on the plane? You've got to be kidding me. I don't put up with immature bullsh!t like this - does he not realize that you paid a lot of money for that ticket?? What did his mom and his sister (I think you said that's who went in on the ticket?) have to say about it??
This is exactly what HH and I did last night as well. He knew how excited I was for Big Brother (insert lame face here) so he brought a bottle of red home, and we downed the whole thing in front of the TV. We then laid in bed giggling about little girl ghosts, and why they are scarier than any other ghosts. But then I got scared that there might be a little girl ghost in our house and made him get up and check all the doors. So I'm tired today too.
We are not doing anything fun his father wants us to go over to his house and go through Yvonnes kitchen and take what we want. UGH she has only been gone 2 weeks. I understand that he can't use most of the stuff because he can't really bake or anything but geez really!!!!
The fun part of the weekend will be hanging out in the pool and reading a book sipping on a cocktail. UGH! Love My HH and that he enjoys the simple life.
H H keeps telling how close it is to pre-season haha. We went by a car that has a Crimson Tide Bumper sticker and I will admit I did get a little excited! I pointed it out to him haha said I am gonna have to pull out my t-shirts n jerseys and show my support!!! Rooolllllll Tiiiiddde !!! Ok containing myself now!!!
Roll Tide!!!! (My SEC team)
And GO JACKETS!!!!! (My ACC team!!)
DONT DRINK ALCOHOL, ALCOHOL IS BAD!!!!!!!
Seriously I'm not drinking anymore.ever.at all. I feel like death. I'm going to see if I can go home early because oh my god I feel like I'm going to puke
His sister thinks he's being a complete immature idiot, and his mom is realllllly disappointed (she & I split the cost of the ticket). I apologized to her that we (HE) wasted her money, and she was like, "I just feel bad for YOU! I know you were excited for him to be able to go to the wedding & see his cousins/etc..." She's pretty sure he'll end up regretting it. I've calmed down a little bit by now, and I'm meeting HH for lunch, so I guess it's not a day completely ruined. Still, it definitely changes my willingness to gift-give to him from here on out.
