We have a new addition to our house!

Too bad it's a squirrel living in the FRICKIN ceiling!!! what the heck!

I hear it scratching around up there- it's driving the cats nuts!

We got a trap that we're going to put out, but I'm nervous that it's a female squirrel and she has a nest of babies up there! As soon as we catch her and drive her far, far away, we're going to cut the hole she's scratched through the ceiling a little bigger around to clean out whatever mess she's made and if there are baby squirrels up there I'm going to have to raise them. No way am I leaving baby squirrels in the wild by themselves. And if I have to raise baby squirrels, DH will not be happy.

Re: We have a new addition to our house!

  • Thats nuts! (no pun intended) lol  I hope you get rid of it soon!

My dad owns property that has an old farm house on it and one night his uncle was sleeping in the living room and heard something. When we opened his eyes an opposum was staring at him from a hole in the ceiling! lol I would have flipped.

  • Awww, hopefully there aren't any baby squirrels up there (even though they ARE ridiculously cute!).

Katy, I would absolutely freak if I saw an opossum staring at me!!  Those suckers are MEAN!!!

  • It is so random that you bring up a squirrel in your house - when I came down to the living room this morning there was an enormous gray squirrel sitting on our patio, staring in through the patio doors into the house.  I'm just glad that Stella was still in her bed because she would have lost her friggin mind.  Those things are supposed to be a b!tch to get rid of, so I really hope you don't have any baby squirrels up there!!
