If you're a teacher....

...say hi! I think there are several of us on this board.  What grade do you teach?

I just finished my first year of teaching.  I teach kindergarten and LOVE it, although it's really very exhausting!

Re: If you're a teacher....

  • I'm the same - just finished my first year of teaching kindergarten!  But since I moved, I went from a guaranteed job in my same class, to having no prospects for this September.  The job market here is not so great.  I love kindergarten, but I will teach anything :)

  • I'm not a teacher but my best buddy is! She just finished her first year of teaching, she shared a class with another teacher so she worked thursday friday and every other wednesday. It was a fourth grade class. She's very excited because this upcoming year she gets her own first grade class! She loves the little kids, she did her student teaching in a kindergarten class. Next year she has apparently ALL of the spanish speaking kids because she's the only first grade teacher who speaks spanish haha.

  • Hi!  I've taught for 5 years. First three in 1st grade. Then Kindergarten. Looped with them to first and added some second graders for a mixed age class. Now it's back to the job hunt for me.. errrr

  • Hi!  I'm certified to teach English 7-12.  I student taught 12th grade last fall, and then had a long term position over the spring with 9-11 graders.  I don't have anything lined up yet full time for the fall, but I am looking!  The market here for teachers is awful.
  • I work at a community college. Is that close enough :)
