New Nester looking to meet other Nesters

Hi all!

My husband and I have married young, and we have recently lost a lot of friends from our area due to everyone "growing up" and moving away after college. We are looking to meet other young couples and hope to find more friends. It's hard being 23 and married. When we go out, most of the people we meet are single and still partying, yet we are settling down.

any suggestions?

Re: New Nester looking to meet other Nesters

  • I have met some really great people at church.... not sure if you are church people, but if so a young married class would be GREAT for yall. Everyone in there is in the same stage of life as you :) What part of DFW are you in?
  • We are near Love Field, but looking to move towards Plano in the next year or two. I go to Church, but my husband does not, so he wouldnot be comfortable going to a group at church. We do play tennis and I have been searching for a nightime mixed doubles league, but no luck so far.

    Thanks for the suggestion.

  • well my husband and i are in frisco not sure where love field is but i do know where plano is.

besides tennis what else do you two like to do?  send me a PM if you want.

  • you should try meetup.com they have alot of groups that you can join and meet people. i know how you feel i'm 18 and due in september and it seems the only groups are for people in their late 20's- 30's but you can try something like a movie group or museum group or fitness, i'm sure you'll find something you and your hubby can enjoy together :)
