Did y'all ever decide on Griffin or P'tree City with the longer commute? You don't have to tell me your address or anything, but I just didn't know if I missed an update other than you found a house. Yay for being a GA girl!
Re: Martini
Lol...thanks! I'm excited to be a GA girl...Southern living is what I think I was meant for all my life!
We are definitely not going to be in Griffin...haha! We actually found a house in McDonough which is still close enough to Griffin but also has more "stuff" and is close to other places. Peachtree City was just going to be too long of a commute for him with traffic and everything...we wanted to cut his commute time down a little so we can spend more time together in the evenings!
Seriously, I will be SO glad to be done with all of this...it's been such a pita and I've spent all morning so far on the phone getting ready for this. Ugh! I'm excited, though, to meet all of you lovely ladies at a GTG...woohoo!!!
I totally understand your excitement about meeting us, we are super cool! I hope everything goes seamlessly!
Where in MI are you from? My husband's family is Lansing and Detroit. I went up there for the first time in November and it is certainly a different lifestyle. I mean, we don't sit around on our porches, drinking tea and making quilts all day and talking about "tha vapors," but it's like another world up there!
I literally just lol'd at your comment about y'all being super cool! LOVE IT!!!
Oh goodness....we'll just say that I'm from Grand Rapids since that's where I spent the latter years of my life. I loved it there but I'm originally from downstate MI (on the border of MI/OH). I have family all over the place!
Being up North is definitely a change from being down here. BF always jokes about how nobody lives in MI, except maybe 10 people! I actually love it, but I grew up there and know what to do....November is kind of a tough time to go. You're beyond the pretty Fall colors, it's getting cold (maybe even snowing) and there's nothing to do! Plus, on that side of the state, it just sucks...lol! West MI/Grand Rapids is beautiful all up and down the coast of Lake MI and there is tons to do all over!
