sex while on your period
I am completely new to these boards, so don't yell at me if this has been asked a million times.. lol Sorry!
I'm currently on my period. We have been together for 7 1/2 years (not married) and have NEVER had sex while I was on my period. Now all of a sudden he wants to tonight, and I started yesterday. Apparently he heard some of his friends say before that it was no different and they didn't mind it at all.
But I am so scared that its going to gross him out! All I can think about is blood being all over the condom and UGH.. Don't get me wrong, its not like I'm uncomfortable and don't want to do it and I'm just doing it for him. I really wouldn't mind doing it, but I don't want to scar him for life.
Have you girls done it? How gross is it? Or do you have any tips on how to make it easier?

I haven't done it on purpose before, but I have started on a guy once. He was very skittish about blood, so he got pretty tense, but just closed his eyes and held his breath until I got a washcloth and cleaned him up. He wasn't scarred.
I would say try it, since he wants to and you don't mind, but throw out a disclaimer for him. Go, "Honey, I'm fine with doing this if you want to, but are you sure you want to? I'm totally okay with it, but I don't want you to get super freaked out or scar you for life." If he's still up for it, go ahead.
Also, lay a towel down, or somethin'. Just saying.
We either put a towel down under us or we did it in shower.
And you won't scar him for life, is he really that fragile?
We've done it before, not often, but yeahhhh it's a little messy (you're on your period for God's sake, haha). Would I do it again? Sure, I always want it more when I'm on it anyway (grrrr!!!). Would I do it on my 1st or 2nd day? HELLS NO!! If he realllllly wants it tonight and you've just started, I'd opt for a shower session...for sure. Either way, you're gettin it tonight! LOL

We always put a towel down and shower immediately after.
It's probably my favorite time to do it (is that odd? I'm just extra horny and extra sensitive during my period). There's most likely going to be some blood on the condom but the only time he's really going to see that is when he takes it off, and if it shocks him well then he needs to take a little health class or read a book on body functions!
My periods are never very heavy so I really don't need a towel at all, I'm just more aware of the positions we do during this time and I usually have sex right after I have my shower during my period and it's less mess. In the shower works too but it's less enjoyable for me. And if you normally use lube I wouldn't use it during your period.

We've done it. Its not that bad as long as your boyfriend doesn't mind blood.
1.) Shower sex is good but it can be dry/uncomfortable even on your period.
2.) Lay down a bleachable towel on the floor and get busy.
We even have a pair of sheets that are bleachable so that we can lay those down on the bed if we feel like it. After you are done soak them and send them through the wash = good as new.

Nope... I've heard that from a lot of women.
It's not that gross, esp if he's wearing a condom (then cleanup is easier). DH isn't grossed out by the blood (maybe a little bit at first, but not any more). We don't do it the first few days when my period is heavier. Also, laying down a towel/handtowel is a must unless your period is light.
Neither of us want to wait a whole week for my period to be completely over before having sex again every month.
Shower sex hasn't ever really worked out (sadly) because DH is quite a bit taller than me.

I'm also extra horny and sensitive during my period, so it's my favorite time as well.
On day one it's so light I don't need a tampon so we go at it as normal. Day 2 and 3 are heavy (gotta love my IUD for that*groans*) so it's in the shower for us,day 4 is more normal so it's just a towel on the bed and day 5 is exactly like day 1.
The only time it's in the shower all 5 days is if we are at a hotel on vacay as I'm kinda weird with not wanting any tell tale signs left for poor house keeping to clean up.

I get really horny on my period, too, but DH thinks it's really weird to have sex during that time...he gets kind of grossed out with the blood. It's difficult for me to enjoy shower sex since it washes all the natural lube away, though if I'm desperate I'll do it that way.
Thankfully, my periods are only about 3 days long.
my dh loves having sex while i'm on my period. i like it too because, despite the mess, i am kind of tender--more sensitive--"down there" and it feels really good. it kind of hurts, but i love it. maybe we are just weirdos lol.
we just put a towel down before we do it. and usually i am on top. but if you're worried about grossing him out, then maybe you should try a different position, because if you're on top there will be a puddle of blood on him when you're done lol.
