My parents are adopting :)
A dog 
They put in an ap today for a Boxer through the Austin Boxer Rescue. I'm so excited and I hope they get the one they want. It took me nearly a year to convince my father that rescuing is better than buying a puppy from someone in the paper. We do have friends that breed boxers for show and have them genetically checked, but they're $1500 and luckily my Dad thinks that's insane.
So keep your fingers crossed for them! If you want to see him here he is!

Yay for them! Your post had me on petfinder for the past hour! I think I've got DH convinced that Rufus's brother will be adopted. He wants a puppy but I think for the second dog, one to two years old may be better. Destructive stage is killing me!
And Austin looks so adorable. Sounds like so much fun! I'll keep my fingers crossed your parents get him!
