  • That is a really cute one!  I am battling constant nausea, which colors my weekend.  Especially as the Cubs are in town and it is our tradition to see every game.  This has been the least fun I have had at Dodger stadium ever, but the Cubs did win yesterday which was awesome!
  • I'm so sorry you're dealing with the constant nausea! I remember that part. It sucks so bad. :( You'll find the thing that works for you... whether it helps only a little bit or completely helps. I was sick sick sick from 6 weeks until about 16-17 weeks. But it is SOOOOO worth it. :) Hang in there, girly!!

Oh no!  This is what I'm afraid of.  It started around 6 weeks and just keeps getting worse.  I am holding out hope that it goes away in the second trimester, but my life is misery now.  Throwing up doesn't even make me feel better.

  • Such a handsome little boy! That pic is absolutely perfect.  I may have to avoid your posts for awhile while I battle the baby rabies!! ;)
We have so much time, and so little to do! Strike that, reverse it.

Thanks, SBS! :) I don't know if I mentioned that Ryan was going on a houseboat trip for a week. He left yesterday morning and won't be back until Saturday evening. :( He went with our best friends. I would have gone too... only I don't think it would have looked that great for me to ask for yet another week off of work when I just had four months of maternity leave, plus another week of vacation for when we went to Mexico lol.

    How are you??

I know, it sucks. I only puked one time, but it was because I literally hadn't eaten anything all day. (It was when we were moving into our new house, and I was busy painting all day...) It's the worst when you don't feel better after throwing up. It's unlike any sickness, where when you puke you usually feel better, at least for a little bit. I always said I wouldn't wish morning sickness on my worst enemy, and I mean that. The thing that helped me was sucking on sunflower seeds all day. Something about the salt... give it a try. :) I hope you feel better soon!!

  • Awwww! Happy Boy! And Lark, the say morning sickness goes away around 14-16 weeks but if it is unbearable or goes longer, your dr can give you meds. I had to do this and it made a huge difference because I wasn't able to get out of bed some days. And if the salt works, old wive's tale says it's a boy. Sweet = girl.

  • MrsO, that's an interesting idea about the sunflower seeds.  Frankly, I'm willing to try anything.  And Lucky, I don't know that it's helping me at all, but it's definitely been that salty food is the only kind of food I can keep down.  Sweet food holds no interest for me, which is sort of tragic because I used to be a total candy-holic.

I'm right there with you Lark - I feel like i'm living off of salty crackers/chips/popcorn lately because its all I can keep down.  Super healthy.  I really hope it lets up soon.

  • My dr. kept telling me that during those weeks you kind of need to give yourself a pass to eat whatever appeals to you.  It is really hard because in the back of your mind, you know that doritos are not the breakfast of champions but if that's what you can keep down, it's better than nothing.  For me it was round the clock chocolate milkshakes and fresh fruit.  Hopefully the sunflower seeds work for each of you!
