I watched it with my mom this weekend and we have questions about what happens at the very end. I think he was "in reality" and chose the lobotomy so he wouldn't have to be rehabilitated and face what he did.

So this is way old news? Sorry. Duh, I should realize that most people saw it a long time ago and not for the first time this weekend like me. :-)

I did like it. Before it started though my mom got all dramatic and was like, "There is a BIG twist! Watch for it! Guess what? There is a TWIST!" so I was pretty sure before it even started how it was going to play out. Thanks mom!
I avoided seeing it this long because I thought it was a bonafide super scary horror movie. I would put it more in the "spooky but interesting" category.
Was Patricia Clarkson the doctor in the cave? That was a bit drawn out, yes.
I almost want to watch it again and see how I would perceive it after knowing how it ends.
