Being the bartender, basically you get the best views of the event. You hear what people REALLY think and get a great idea of the bride and grooms personalities.
Last night was a sh*t show. To say the least. The bride and groom weren't happy before the ceremony. The groom was a little drunk before he even got to me.
Anyway, they got married, did pictures, their first dance, whatever whatever. After the bride ate, she didn't go with her new husband to greet their guests. (and there was no receiving line)... So I was thinking, oh that's weird. He was walking around and she was just sitting there with a frown on her face and a burr up her a*s. Even when there was dancing, she sat in her seat.
Then out of no where she got up and stormed into the bathroom with her MOH. She must have stayed in there 20 minutes. Weird. But as soon as she came out, her husband jerked her by the arm, they start screaming at each other in the middle of their reception, and they storm into our other reception area. They stayed in there ANOTHER 20 minutes. When the BM finally convinced them to come back in because it was time to cut their cake, they stormed back in, she cursed him up and down, and he screamed "You have to stop this SH*T"
The groom later took his frustration out on me by screaming about the cost of beer and trying to take 4 cases of beer with him for the after party.
Needless to say it was a lonnnggg night. And I hope they get annulled. It made me super grateful for my perfect wedding day and fabulous husband.. and I know it would make you all appreciate yours too!!!!!
Re: Bar stories from the wedding last night
That is so sad.
On our video you can hear my mom asking if HH was okay with the new ceremony location (it rained on my way there, so I chose the new location because we were supposed to have an outdoor wedding). I respond with "he doesn't care as long as I am happy." That was the truth. For all he cared we could have gone to the JOP, but I wanted my pretty princess day, so he agreed. He hates taking pictures and being the center of attention, but you never would have known on our perfect day because all he wanted to do was make me happy.
Wow...at least the night was interesting! I wonder what could have been so bad that they needed to scream at each other at their own wedding!!
What a beginning to their "happily ever after."
WOW.
