Re: How was your weekend?
ours was good but super busy. I can't remember what we did on Friday evening, though. how sad is that?
Saturday I made mini-muffins for church while my wife played with the baby. then we went to our friend's women's football game and had a great time. we were late and apparently they weren't doing well before we arrived, then they took off and won handily. we were going to go to our friend's place after to hang out, but by the time we were done my wife was super tired and her back was bothering her so we just went home.
yesterday we went to church then out to lunch. then I took a 2 hour long nap on the couch with the boy, which was so awesome and much needed for both of us. we got up and went to my wife's softball game. she didn't play (her back was still bothering her and they had plenty of people), so we hung out with friends. we went home and she made dinner while I played with the boy. then more playing. then she went to work and I put him to bed. the end.
Friday night we ended up having an impromptu playdate with the other set of twins in their class which was fun.
Saturday we were supposed to meet up with some families with Rainbow Families at the splash fountain, but when I woke to rain, I knew it was out. The kids and I had a lazy morning and then I ended up reworking our plans with the other families (I am glad I was IMing one of the dads on Facebook when he suggested that he was going to take his not quite 4y old to see Eclipse because "she likes adult movies" and did we want to join them. My eyeballs nearly bugged out of my head. Unfortunately, I wasn't so lucky to have a screen between us at lunch when he told me that one of her favorite shows is Prison Break. WHA????) We ended up at the play area at the mall and then having lunch at CPK. It was fun. The boys and I did a few errands, got ice cream, went to the library, and went home to watch a movie. I stayed up too late watching tv.
Sunday we did a few errands before meeting some friends at a museum. It was fun catching up with everyone, seeing the new babies, and letting the kids play. We went to lunch before heading home and to Target. We spontaneously decided to go to the pool and had a great time. The kids were exhausted and were asleep by 8.
The weekend went MUCH better than I thought it would. Based on experience, staying home with a couple of 4y olds is MUCH easier than staying home alone with a couple of 7m olds, 2.5 year olds, or 3 year olds!

Our weekend was only so-so. LMC's had an extra tough time after her visit. OMG, the screaming. Did you hear it? I think she was sleep walking one night too, scary. It just kind of threw off the whole weekend. We ended up spending most of it cleaning and organizing for our homestudy visit tomorrow. Not exactly fun, but at least we were productive.
The weekend was definitely not long enough. We had date night on Friday, which was really good. I stayed home and decided to be lazy on Saturday because it was raining. I should have cleaned more, but I was aggravated because I feel like our apartment becomes a disaster again immediately after I've cleaned it. I think this is a sign that we just finally need to upsize before one of us freaks out. We said we were only going to stay in this place for a year, but now it's been a little over two.
Our weekend started out not so good, but ended better. Last week, as I was finishing my meds for the mastitis, I developed an allergic reaction in the form of a HORRIBLE itchy rash under my arms. When caring for a baby - holding him, nursing him, etc - it's pretty much impossible to not aggravate that area further. Thursday into Friday was the worst of it, but Friday night into Saturday I was still very itchy. Thank goodness C was home from work on Friday and could help me with Henry. My extreme itchiness kept us pretty low key at home.
By Sunday, I was feeling some relief, so we were able to have a pretty nice day, and get out that evening for a little walk. We also moved the furniture back into the office/guest room!
Still not 100% today, but getting there!
