Dress for TTD session?

I posted this on TK but thought I'd check with my Nesties too. My cousin is getting married in Aruba in September and needs to find a dress for her TTD shoot. All wedding stuff are a blur to me so I can't remember the places that she should check out. She wants something inexpensive and wouldn't mind trashing. Let me know if you have any stores/websites that you suggest that she checks out.

TIA!

Re: Dress for TTD session?

  • I didn't do a TTD session, but I do remember seeing long white dresses at Forever 21 when I was considering it.  I don't know if they still have anything like that, but they were pretty cheap so definitely worth a look.

  • yeah i would do teeny bopper places like Forever 21, Charlotte Russe, etc. also don't forget that TJMaxx, Ross, and Marshall's will have great dresses for a low price :)

    Good tip. Thanks!!

  • I was just looking on Macy's website.  They're having some crazy deals.  I saw some wedding dresses on there.  Check it out!

  • In addition to all of the above, she can try the $99 rack at David's Bridal, the sample section of the Jay's Bridal website (sometimes there are things for less than $100 on there) and of course eBay.

I used to know a lot more places to look, but my Knot memory doesn't function so well anymore. Stick out tongue

  • She could check out eBay for deals on gently used wedding dresses or even just white/off-white cocktail or prom type dresses.  FWIW, I TTD in my real gown and it cleaned up just fine. But it wasn't pricey to begin with...I only paid $325 for it.
  • J Crew often has big sales on their white beachy looking gowns.
