Hi Ladies! DH and I will be in Estes Park next week for my cousin's wedding. It's a just a mini-vacation from Thurs-Sun, but are really looking forward to it especially since we have never been to Colorado. There are a few family events already planned. We are hoping to sneak away and explore on our own as well. I just made reservations for the ghost tour at The Stanley Hotel and am now looking for other adventures we can get get into.
Have any of you been to Estes Park? Any recommendations on where we should go/check out? I'm messing around on tripadvisor now, but would love recommendations
Re: Estes Park, CO?
Estes Park is my favorite place in Colorado. As far as things to see and do just on the Rockie Mountain National Park you can spend days hiking and looking at the wildlife...it's so beautiful!
There is an old Inn that has a Dining Room where they serve a salad buffet and pie. It's sort of overpriced and the place is very very old (smells kinds old too), but they had a million Hummingbirds you can see fly up to the windows while you are eating.
The Dunraven Inn is an Italian restaurant...the food is ok...but the place is pretty cool the walls are covered with $1 bills signed by people and the people where really nice.
