Photobooth

Hello Ladies!!  Did anyone use a photobooth for their wedding reception?  Any good recommendations?  If anyone has any props they want to sell I would be interested in that too!!

Re: Photobooth

  • I did not have it at my wedding but I've been to weddings that have them.  It is my understanding that the photobooth company provides all props, so you may want to check with them about it first.
  • We used a photobooth at our wedding and it was the best $ we could have spent. There was a line for it the whole night. The pictures people left behind are hilarious! Totally worth every cent. With that in mind, you should probably check out photbooth rentals locally. We have a local company that we went through, but they only offer rentals in my area. As for props, we provided them, the photobooth company did not. We went to a Dollar store and spent about $10 bucks on a ton of funny hats, boas, props, etc. Hope that helps!

  • We used a photobooth for our reception and it was by far the best wedding-related decision we made.  Our guests got to keep a copy and then another copy went into a scrapbook on a black page and they could write messages in a silver marker.  It was really neat and we love to look back at those pictures.  (A year and some later we still have some on our fridge)  Plus we got to view/save the photos from their online site for free for a digital copy.  We used Red Eye photobooks at http://www.redeyebooths.com/  I'm not really sure where you're at so they may or may not be in your area.

    Good luck!!

  • I wanted one for my wedding, but decided against it when I saw the pix it took.  If we would be sitting, you would mostly see the space on top of our heads.  Maybe that was just the thing about the model we saw.  Sounds like a great idea!

  • I work for a Photobooth Company in the Chicago area and surrounding suburbs and I can tell you that they are very popular with bride and grooms. The company that I work for has the photobooth set up before the start of Cocktail. We take pictures of your guests during cocktail hour, than closed for dinner. We open back up after all your special dances; First, /Father/Daughter and Mother Son and are than open for the remaining of the night.

We include a scrapbook ? a photo strip is placed in the book for your guests to write a message to the bride and groom nest to their photo.

A photo than is placed in a pile for the bride and groom to have at the end of the night.

Each person who takes a photo in the booth will get a copy of that picture. For example if five people go into the booth, five people get a photo. Some companies only give two strips and everyone has to fight over the photo.

We give a flash drive at the end of the night with all the photos that where taken during the evening.

We provide props ? Hats, Glasses, Boas and the couples are more than welcome to add to the large prop selection that we already have.
