Just moved here from New York where Sleepy's the place to go for a mattress. What's the Austin equivalent?
Re: Where to buy a mattress?
I'm not much help but wanted to say welcome to Austin!
We've bought two mattresses but they were both with an entire bed set from I think Rooms To Go and the other was a local place in San Marcos.
i just bought one from overstock.com after going around to different stores and figuring out what we wanted. saved a load of money (and free shipping!). but i have bought a mattress set from rooms to go before.
eta: we bought this one (medium), and it's awesome. and there is (was?) an online promo code that took $10 off, too, so even better.

I really like the sleep shop here in Austin. They are located on Burnett Road and I think they have one south.
