I'm hosting my friends shower at my house in 1 month!!! The MOH FINALLY called me and thanked me because she had NO other plan for the shower... Tongue Tied. So we figured out the major details and she is ordering these invites that I found this week (fingers crossed!). I offered to do that too in order to make sure it actually happens, but she insisted that she's get it done this week...

Sooo the theme is Retro 50's Housewife! My friend loves to cook and her wedding has a retro vibe to it.

Here's my inspirations:

recipe cards -to send with the invites for guests to write down their favorite recipe to add to a recipe box as a gift for the bride

Colors -turquoise and red

Retro theme bridal shower

another retro shower

Food I'm making : Jello Mold (spiked w/ vodka!), cheesy fondo w/ dippers and veggies and mini cheesecake bites w/ cherries

Any suggestions/ ideas would be very much appreciated!!!! I know you girls are full of creativity and resources Big Smile

    Anne Taintor has some really cute & funny retro themed items you could use for decor items or fun favors for the guests.

    This!!  Make sure you take lots of pics of her shower I can't wait to see it all come together.  Such a great shower idea!!

    Thanks!!! I'm super excited now that it's sunk in =) Just talk to my MIL and they have a 10x10 canopy tent, 2 -8ft long tables and white chairs so now I can for sure do it outside too! ***Happy Dance***
