raised wooden garden $9

I've been wanting to start an herb garden and was going to make one of these as a DIY project but this is cheaper and easier! this is obviously more for those who are renting or living in smaller spaces, but just thought i'd share in case anyone else is interested....

Only $9 with free shipping plus 5% Bing cashback :)

Re: raised wooden garden $9

  • awesome price!  one word of caution though - our home inspector pointed out that our planters were made of pressure-treated wood, which is toxic - you shouldn't plant edibles in them unless you line the wood with something where it can't leach into the soil.  (one of the commenters mentions this issue too)

i haven't done much research on it (nor done anything about our planters, which currently have only non-edibles but I really want to turn into a veggie garden), but you may want to read up on it some more before planting!

  • I'm so envious of people with yards who can do this!

thank you - i will have to look into that.  i did see that comment among the reviews and wasn't sure if it was true. if we can't find a way to line the box so we can use it for herbs, i'll just return it at my local home depot store.
