1st anniversary?

Maybe i'm the only freak thinking about our first anniversary already..but the wheels are turning!!

We were thinking 2 things to celebrate...either a trip to Hawaii, or a long weekend at the Grand Canyon or Yellowstone. I think the national parks would be more in our budget this year, but either one would be awesome!

Is anyone else planning a 1st anniversary trip?

I'm not planning our anniversary yet, but I have been planning HH birthday since about Feb. His birthday isn't until December. Not only is it his first birthday as a husband, but he is turning 30 and graduating from college the week before. I'm gonna get him buduoir pictures. Then on the day we are going to a neighboring city, going to a really nice restaurant and staying at a hotel there.

I doubt that we'll do anything too exciting. May is actually a really busy time of year for me at work. I didn't feel bad taking off for a week and a half during the end of the semester to get married, but I would feel bad about making my absenteeism an annual thing.

Haha - You aren't the only one! I think we talked about it on this board a while back, but I'm planning DH's gift. It's a jar full of 365 reasons why I love him (one for every day that we've been married). I started a word document and every time I come up with something, I jot it down and then type it into the document. This way, I'm not sitting there trying to come up with 365 things a few days before the anniversary - haha. I would also love to go on a trip - nowhere too big, though. We live in NC, so maybe Charleston, SC (which I loooooove and it's so romantic).

We're planning on going on vacation that week. We'll both have 2 weeks vacation next year so we'll use one week for our anniversary and the other later on in the summer.

You're definitely not the only one!!! I was already talking about our first anniversary trip while we were still on the honeymoon!!!! I'm not sure what we'll do, but definitely hit the beach!!! If we don't go to an island somewhere, we'll at least take a week off and go to Florida or something.

If this cycle was "the one" (we'll find out in about a week!) then we'll have a 2 month old baby by the time of our first anniversary! LOL. Not sure a big trip would be in the works for us then but maybe later in the summer...

This!! Adam and I were totally talking about doing another cruise for our one year anniversary while we were on our honeymoon, but like Sarah, I'll probably be pregnant by then (hopefully!!) and no one wants to go on a cruise pregnant! pregnant = no drinks! no thanks! Maybe we'll just take a trip to the beach, his parents have a condo on one of the beaches. Take the dog with us and it'd be perfect!

we already know the hotel we're going to stay in to celebrate!!! we actually had this planned as we were planning the honeymoon! lol. nothing like year-long anticipation all over again!

Haha you girls are a riot! HH and I are ALWAYS planning trips, we definitely have the travel bug, and have taken at least one big trip a year since we've been together. We probably won't be doing anything spectacular for our anniversary though, because we will be travelling at least twice in the fall and winter for friend's destination weddings. Not to mention we're spending Christmas with his folks this year, which is another expensive flight...so with three trips (not counting our honeymoon) already on the horizon, I highly doubt we'll be doing much in May

We were already talking about it on our honeymoon too. We already have the place picked out, we just have to keep watching for goods and book when we find one. I think we probably check it out at least once a week.

No your not the only one. We talked about it after we got back from our honeymoon. We aren't sure what we are doing yet. Possibly the outer banks:)

I don't know what we're going to do yet... maybe take a little trip... we'll see. I do know what I am going to get DH though. I'm going to have boudoir pics taken since the first anniversary is "paper". I've been hyping up how AWESOME my gift for him is going to be and how he's going to have to really up his game!!! =D

We're definitely doing something big for ours. We skimped on our HM so we could pay for everything we wanted to have at the wedding, so we're doing hawaii or mexico or a cruise or something. I'm hoping to be KTFU by then though, so we'll have to see...I can't really see myself sleeping well at sea when I am battling morning sickness. Plane rides don't sound so fun when you're essentially sitting 2 bodies in a seat made for one either. I guess we'll just have to go with the flow!

I think it'll end up being dinner out and that is it. We're trying to save up to replace a vehicle, get out of debt, and get some savings together before we TTC.
