Photographers
Hi Ladies! I am helping my BIL and FSIL find vendors for their wedding and I am having some trouble finding affordable photogs in the area.
Prices have gone up so much in 3 years!
Does anyone have any recs for inexpensive photogs whose work is still decent? It doesn't need to be Steph Carson or Tine quality, but not just normal everyday pics either, KWIM? TIA!

A friend of mine from High School has started her own business and she's pretty good. I don't know about her pricing, but I am sure she's willing to work with people to fit their budget. Her website is www.nicolelynnphoto.net
Also, Sara Streit is awesome. I know she's mid range pricing and her pictures are great. She's very pregnant at the moment so I don't know how much she will be doing, but you can contact her on here "sara401"
We used Geri Ciulla and loved her! She used to be one of Steve Lyons main photographers and still works with him a bit but mainly works under her own umbrella. So she doesn't have Steve's prices but the experience and style! www.ciullaphototgraphy.com
My Blog
I know a lot of girls on The Nest had used Lucky Clover as a budget photography. Having not used them myself and not following their blog/pix I can't say what type of quality they are or how good they are to work with. If they're of interest to your BIL/FSIL maybe you could check over on TN side to see if you can get first-hand reviews

I'm not sure what their budget is but I know my photographer Cindy Wagner of Wagner Photographics now has her son working under her for cheaper. They have really similar styles and I love the photo narration that they bring to life through photography as an artform.
Personally, photography was one of my splurge items because at the end of the day, it's one of the few tangible things that you can take away to remember for a lifetime.

And just as an aside, while I honestly have no first hand experience with Lucky Clover, there have been lots of complaints on theknot about them- mostly because other girls have said that they apparently take forever to respond to communication attempts and they have a very slow picture turnaround after the wedding. Again, no experience personally, but just what I've read from frustrated clients of theirs.
