I'm sure my vote is a HUGE surprise, since I never EVER talk about work on here...especially to complain!

But my more interesting question is: did I miss an announcement? What's up with the baby name list, hmmmmm?

  • I was wondering about the baby name thing too!

Haha, no, I am not pregnant. DH and I were talking about baby names the other day and I wanted to see what some other people thought of them. I LOVE the name Clara, but he thinks it's an old lady name and our hypothetical kid would get teased for it.

  • I love old names. I want to name a girl Adelaide. It's my great grandmothers name, but DH thinks the same thing about getting teased. Seriously, is Clara worse than Apple?!
  • raeynraeyn member

I think Adelaide is a really beautiful name. I definitely agree that Apple is more tease-worthy than our choices!

Clara was my great aunt's name, which is why it's special to me. When I started dating my husband, she was one of the few people I could really talk to about him. Unfortunately he never got to meet her before she passed away, but it still seems fitting that we name a daughter after her.

Sophie is what I called my grandmother and I've always liked that name, but it has become really popular lately and I worry it would be too trendy.

I LOVE old-fashioned names - Clara is beautiful.  Actually, the only thing I love more than old-fashioned names are family names, so Clara is clearly a win/win.

I adore Adelaide as well.  So pretty.

We're pretty set on a girl's name, which is why we're destined to have all boys.  :)

  • I think Clara is beautiful, and if it means something especially important to you, then I say it's a great name. It's also a beautiful homage to your great aunt.

We joke that we're going to have all boys also...they're so hard to name!! I don't think I have a single name for a boy that I love.

  • raeynraeyn member
I can't think of a boy's name I really like either. I'm rather surprised by how many people voted that they like "Jack Connor". It's okay, but I'm not in love with it. If we have boys we'll have to go back to the drawing board.
