Dear Community,

Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

Arrrrggg!!!!! Listen to me whiiiiine!

So I hate dealing with computers at work. I hate IT people. (No offense to any IT people, we just always seem to get ones that SUCK!) No one will wake up early to help us when we have issues. Our problems seem to hit at 7AM when we open. We called our IT guy before 8, he STILL isn't here. He messed around with our server, reset a ton of stuff, and now a folder that I had a ton of stuff in is mysteriously gone! All of my settings are gone. I hate computers!!!

 

AND we still haven't gotten our wedding pictures back, and it'll be two months on Thursday! First I was told it'd be a month, then he says it's scheduled to be done the 11th (this past sunday) but it'd probably be done earlier! Well that obviously didn't happen. Then last night I had a dream that we got the pictures and they SUCKED.

 

Rawr rawr complain complain haha. I had a background that I LOVED but it was saved in the mysterious disappearing file, and I can't find it online. POOP. So now I am stuck with flowers. They are pretty flowers BUT STILL.

  • I'm lucky that I made friends with one of the IT guys my first few days working here.  Any time I have a computer issue, it gets fixed like immediately if I ask him instead of putting a help request in.

  • Are you sure we don't work in the same place they love to do that here and you can NEVER get ahold of them when you need them grrrr! Hugs I know how frustrating that can be!
  • Everytime we call our IT department they say your estimated waiting time is 1-3 minutes but your actually on there for 15-20 minutes before you can even get ahold of someone.

    Does your contract say anything about a timeline of when you should have your pictures? If it does I'd be calling and making sure they know they broke contract.

  • Wow! Apparently.... I have no copy of our contract!!! When I switched Email addresses I deleted a lot of stuff from my old account. I have ALL email threads with the photographer... EXCEPT the one with the contract! And for once, I emptied the trash! And nothing in the sent mail. WTF? And I think I threw out everything that was in my wedding planning binder. Excellent! Sigh. Oh well. I'll just email him and ask WTF IS UP.
