I'm sorry I have nothing actually exciting to post today (or really any day, for that matter). Do any of you have steam mops? I know Bethie just bought one and I want to get one for my hardwood floors. Recommendations?

Re: Steam mops
I have no advice, but I want one reeeeeal bad.
Get one with the little attachment to clean your stove and stuff, too!

We have this Shark. It works okay on our kitchen floor. I was actually told NOT to use steam cleaners on wood because over time the moisture will make it warp....?
I think I'm taking my Home Depot cheapie back and ordering this: http://www.amazon.com/Bissell-Steam-Hard-Floor-Cleaner-1867-7/dp/B000RPVHZU
Which ones come with attachments?! I too am obsessed with the steam mop.

I think as long as they are sealed, you're okay. But, otherwise, I'm sure your right.
I have the Shark Deluxe. It sucks. I mean it is good for the hardwoods but it won't take *** off of the tile floor. I have to get down on my hands and knees and scrub of the food that B has thrown down there. My mom has the next higher version of the Shark and loves it...she has not problems like I have.
this is the one I have. I read that it's better than some of the others b/c it comes w/ a few different attachments, gets pretty hot, has a bigger water tank and longer cord.

I was just looking at that one, Bethie. It led me to this lengthy review where a lady did a comparison of a bunch of steam mops. If you're interested: http://www.amazon.com/review/R2U0WBRUIMTHZI/ref=cm_cr_rdp_perm
Looks like this one doesn't get very hot.

That is only if your floors are completely sealed.

I have the Bona stuff and it doesn't clean worth a damn. That's why I'm looking at getting a steam mop.
ETA: It does make my floors look really pretty, but the dirt is still there. So it was great for low traffic area that just needed a quick once over, but in the kitchen where stuff had spilled, it didn't get any of the dirt up.

I also have this shark and I feel like it makes my wood floors look pretty, but doesn't work very well on the kitchen or bathroom floor. I actually barely even use it anymore.
