... now if only I could use this to convince H to move back to the MPLS area with me... I totally miss it there.

Being near Minneapolis, it takes less than 20 minutes to get to downtown. And they have plans to make the Light Rail go more places. Awesome.

MOH was amazed at how centrally located we are up here. I can get to 5 different malls in 5 different directions in 20 minutes each from the house.

Maybe it's better if I don't move up there... How much trouble would I get in with 5 malls? lol

Not to mention, one of them is the Mall of America (2 different Sephora's in one mall). And one of the others was the first enclosed mall in the country. And the mall in Eden Prairie? They filmed Mallrats there.
Wow, my mall knowledge is sick.

I'm sure there were #11
Well Columbia, MD is considered the DC area in my book.
DC area is just too damn expensive to ever be on that list. I mean if I was making my salary back in Michigan, I would be living hte high life in a 3 bedroom completely renovated SFH in a great area... whereas now I live in a 2 BR apartment. And before I lived in a DC rowhouse with 3 other roomates to help with the mortgage in the hood.
Bleh, dont get me started.

Rogers, AR? Really? I would have thought the towns around it (Bentonville...) would make it over Rogers.
McKinney is a nice town, north part of Dallas... but it's so close to everything else, I guess I just feel it's all the same. Everything's brand new though. The whole town was built in the last 10 years.
Now I want to go to the mall in Eden Prairie. I heart Mallrats. Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned for Sega.

I'm actually looking at Minnesota's dental school as we speak. We'll keep our fingers crossed that I get in there.
And coming in at number 86 is Fargo! Woo!
Eden Prairie is really nice. My mom lived there as a kid. She tells me stories of riding her horse right down the middle of the city (which driving through it now, I cannot imagine), and taking the bus to downtown Minneapolis..by herself. My sister in law lives there now.
My mom and I were just talking about this list a few days ago. She and my dad drove through Fort Collins while they were in CO for our wedding and she said they weren't impressed. I told her they had to have missed something because it's always highly rated. I forwarded her the Money site to prove my point.
ETA: And my sister is going to grad school in Ames....and, well, she doesn't think much of it. Initially, she thought it was a nice campus, but it's a small town, hours from an airport, in IOWA. She got over it quickly. I've never been myself, though.
Of course NY didnt make the list!
hahahaha
Pull up crime rates and it will make it
lol, my mom teaches in Newton and we live in the next town over, it's nice but I would never want to live there. Milton on the other hand, ugh would love to live there......although it's next door to Mattapan and I would rather not die, lol.
Anyway, I'm with JB - no suburb for me, well not for awhile anyway!
It's BOOMING in that area. Also in Maple Grove/Osseo. Both have NO problems with jobs available and a lot of things to do.
