AW: Following suit with the Oct '09 ladies
So, I've been impressed with many of you and your business pursuits, and I've REALLY wanted to get into travel writing... so I've made an outline and I'm going to write my first article! Most travel writers are freelance, so I'm going to have to shop around my writing. I've done some research, and I'm ready for the challenge!
I'm still writing something for the lab... but when I'm done, I'm focusing on following my real, not science-related, dreams! WOOOOT!

I have a couple topics that I can write on at this point... based on the experiences that we can afford right now haha. For more long term interests, I'd really like to write about obscure topics in mainstream vacation destinations... KWIM? Destinations that everyone wants/tends to go, but I would focus on the hole-in-the-wall neighborhood bars and restaurants or off the beaten path attractions (for example). Things even the googs won't tell you about
MY BLOG!

I actually just came across a blog yesterday about the road less traveled in Mexico--it was great. So, writing about the hole-in-wall stuff is definitely something people want.

OH DEAR GOD NO. Haha. We're soooo not ready for babies right now. I'm more than thrilled for our preggo board members, but I am not planning on adding myself to this list anytime soon!

I stumbled across this blog recently and have found it very inspiring. If you haven't already checked it out, take a look sometime. A lot of it has to do with business, but I think most of it can be applied to life in general.
Thanks for all the love and support! I'm really excited and I really hope I can hack it. Then maybe some day, I'll just travel ALL the time. That's my ultimate dream.
While I appreciate biomedical research, this isn't really the lifestyle I want... too much stress. No more saving the world for me.
