Jury duty

Tyler just got picked to be on the jury of a really horrible case involving bad things done to children. They expect it to be a two week trial. He's pissed. It's going to be a really miserable two weeks...especially since he can't talk to me about the case....he just has to live with crappy things he has to see during the trial :( Off to find comfort food recipes to make so he can at least come home to a good meal.

Re: Jury duty

  • That sucks! I've always wondered (since I've never been on a jury) if spouses really don't talk about the case together. If it were me I wouldn't be able to keep everything to myself, I would have to talk to Ted. Just being honest.

I've wondered that too. I know I'd blab everything to DH...but that's just me and I can't keep anything from him for very long

  • Aw, poor Tyler.  :(  Jury duty sounds bad enough, but that case sounds like much worse than normal.  Hopefully coming home to some yummy food will help him leave it all in the courtroom.  Make sure to serve his favorite alcoholic beverage with dinner!

    THIS!

God bless him for doing it though.  I don't know if I could make it through a type of trial dealing with bad things happening to kids.  I'd probably be bawling half the time!

  • My dad got on a jury for a murder case years ago.  He told us about it...not everything but the basics.  He probably told my mom more, but I was maybe 9 at the time so I'm sure he kept a lot out of his stories.

That's very sweet of you to make fab meals for him to come home to.
