I saw below that you're returning your new dishwasher! That's a bummer.
Our new GE looks pretty much just like the LG you got, and we haven't had any issues with it at this point. Let me know if you want the model number!

Re: **Bev
Yep, we are returning it. :-( I tried all day yesterday to get in touch with the right people at Home Depot, but kept getting, "I'm sorry, they've left for the day." Suuuuure. So I'll be calling this afternoon to bug them some more.
I think we've decided on a Kenmore that was rated well in Consumer Reports and got great customer reviews, but if you have it, definitely send me the model number! We haven't officially decided yet. :-) Thanks!!
And while I have you, will you please take a look at my chart and tell me what's going on? I don't feel "well known" enough on the GP board to post many questions, and I'm so scared of them being snarky!
I just emailed you about your chart.
Oh, and you're right...some of the GP girls can get snarky, but they're usually pretty good about being nice to newbies who admit that they don't know what they're doing when it comes to charting.
About the dishwasher...ours is GE model GDWT260R10SS. I don't think it's their "top of the line," but it's not at the very bottom, either. We like it, so far!
