I stopped to see what all the hype was about regarding Cake in a Cup. I honestly dont think it is anything spectacular for $2.50 per cupcake. I think mine are just as good if not better (yea, I am bias)
Cupcakes I got: Cherry Coconut, PB Cup, Black Bottom and Vanilla. And a free mini red velvet.
So far I have only had a bite of the PB and I ate the entire Cherry Coconut, minus a bite for B.
Re: So....
Def not as good as your red velvet!!
(I've had both..although yours more recently but still I devoured your cupcakes and I could've cared less about cake in a cup.
P.S. Now I'm watching cupcake wars! It's totally about Bacon!!
BWHAHAHA, I'm glad your not hurt...or cut up in a ditch somewhere...hehe
bwahahahaha. Is it the epi with Duff from Ace of Cakes?
oh, and thanks for stroking my ego. LOL!
I have been meaning to ask how the cupcakes went over. I am in LOVE with the Cookies and Cream ones.
I completely agree with you on this. And I do think they're overpriced.
So while they are quite yummy, there's a reason I've only been there 2 or 3 times when I work literally 2 minutes away.
I have never had your cupckaes, but if they are anything like your cakes and truffles they are better than cake in a cup.
I do think Cake in a Cup is yummy though, but they are overpriced which (like Merin said) is only why I've actually paid for a cupcake there 2 times and live pretty close. I also think they are pretty tiny for $2.50 each.
My friend says her cupcakes made from a mix with a can of frosting are better than cake in a cup, hehe. She does not like the cupcakes there at all.
I honestly don't know how they stay in business. All the rich folk in Sylvania must keep them in business though. Can you imagine having a party and buying like 100 cupcakes from them or more?? OMG!! I'm sure they give a price break but it probably isn't much.
They have been open for a while. I think going on 3 years.
No it was George Lopez golf outing. ?A place in?Cincinnati?got ROBBED IMHO. ?They girl that won made this tacky display but apparently she won over the judges with her cupcakes...and HER CRAZY.
The place in Cincinnati is all organic and they thought her organic cupacake wasn't as good as the other girls'. ?The other girl was a complete nutcase.
I call shenanigans.
Honestly, I think it's party and event business that keeps them going. They are at just about everything I go to around town.
