Recommend your vet

Hi all, I need to find a good vet. DH and I are adopting a 5 month old lab mix this weekend. She's had all of her shots but still needs to be spayed. We're in Buckhead close to Lenox/Phipps, but I'm fine with driving to Midtown, Brookhaven, etc. TIA!

This is where I have been taking Des ever singe we got her from the Humane Society. The Humane Society spayed her before we brought her home.

We drive to Marietta for our vet b/c we absolutely love her. But if we chose to use a vet closer to home, we would likely go with Treehouse Animal Clinic or Wieuca Animal Clinic.

We go to Lenox Pet Hospital, on Colonial right off Ptree in Buckhead (by the Starbucks and Kroger). They could not be nicer.

I'm late on this one, but our dog was bit by a snake last week. We took him to Georgia Vet Specialists. We took him about 10 pm, and they were wonderful. They gave us an entire estimate of the cost upfront and didn't up the charges because we were there at night. The care was excellent. I'd highly recommend them!

GVS is more of a specialty practice and emergency hospital. For emergency care or any type of serious illness that requires a specialist, then I would go there, but I wouldn't take my pets there for routine vetting or a standard surgery like spay/neuter.

I love when I see our vets recommended by others! When we lived in B'head we went to Peachtree Hills and had a wonderful experience there. Unfortunately, they didn't handle Annie very well (she is a former stray with a bite history) so we have since switched to Treehouse. We also go to Georgia Vet Specialists for Annie's autoimmune issues.

We take ours to The Veterinary Clinic in Marietta. They're awesome and open late/weekends.
