Davis has been sick - what do you think???

He has had diarrhea for 2 weeks now.  I took him to the pedi last Friday because it had been a week of it, gave them a sample and everything was negative.  He is still sick today, it has been 2 weeks now, he has horrible diarrhea every day, up to 5 times a day.  It is awful, I feel terrible for him.  He has horrible gas with it too.  The doctor has him on a special diet until the diarrhea clears up but it is not working at all.  The last few days I've had a really hard time getting him to drink much so we are taking him back today.  She said last week if it wasn't gone in a week I had to bring him in.

He has also been waking up out of a dead sleep with horrible diapers and then won't go back to bed - not fun for mommy.  This is the 3rd day he's been up for about 5 hours in the middle of the night.

I just cannot figure out what could be wrong if the sample tested negative.  Unless it was too early in his illness for something to show up???   I just hope we figure out what is going on with him.

  • They've already done allergy testing on him, right?  What kind of diet do they have him on?

  • Have they tested him previously for a gluten allergy?

  • Since you had him at the doctor it is probably not teeth. Abby is going through it right now and it is horrible, not to mention her little butt has a horrible, horrible rash that won't go away. She has had 2 baths already today. I can't imagine having it for 2 weeks. I would die. It's the worst, especially since she wants to touch down there when I am trying to change her.

I was wondering the same thing.

The brat diet! lol. I'm also wondering if maybe there is another allergy that hasn't been found yet?
