Re: 10 things Tuesday
1. Jelly Bean is having a better (than yesterday) day at daycare.
2. I didn't get to pump this morning and JB is still sleeping thus my boobs are leaking. Not so fun.
3. Hunger. I'm constantly hungry.
4. We are dealing with some petty homeowners' association cr@p. The bad part is we don't know who is causing the trouble. The good part is that it has caused us to meet some neighbors - all of whom are very supportive.
5. Can someone please remind me that I need to go to bed before midnight? If JB sleeps from 10pm - 6am I really should be too. But nooooo, I stay up way to late and am then dragging in the a.m.
6. K and I are going to a concert tomorrow night. I'm really excited to have an adult night out together.
7. I have a major work project I need to finish in the next few hours, better get my butt in gear.
8. I think I'll go make some oatmeal.
9. One of my windshield wipers stopped working this morning. I should go try to fix it before the rain starts up again.
10. #9 does not help #7.
1. We met another lesbian couple this weekend who adopted their 3 kids through the county 11 years ago, they make me smile.
2. I have an opportunity to get sponsored as a runner through Chipotle. Nothing is guaranteed but the opportunity is there.
3. Mango, our new kitten, is sleeping on my feet. He is awesome.
4. I need to figure out another way to get people to donate to the Human Rights Campaign for my run, I've been sending out emails and posting links for a couple weeks and haven't gotten anything yet.
5. I think one of our chickens is sick.
6. The dealership and specifically the salesman we bought our car from suck.
7. I need to clean the back house/storage for our homestudy but am procrastinating since we still haven't turned our foster/adopt application in.
8. We camped in Parker, AZ at the river this weekend, it was 121 degrees when we got there. Not much fun.
9. I need new glasses.
10. Cleaning house is not an option today.
Two Mommies Healing Hearts
1. I am home today with a sick kid. He coughed all night, had a runny nose when he woke up, was lethargic, and said he didn't want to go to school/swimming (unusual.) As soon as we dropped Carter off at school and came home, he stopped coughing, I haven't wiped his nose since, and he is full of energy. Ugh.
2. He is playing with play-dough. One kid playing with play-doh is MUCH less messy than 2 kids playing with play-doh.
3. I am debating taking him out for lunch. I want something good for lunch.
4. I am praying he takes a good nap. Because of the nighttime coughing, I've been awake more or less since 4am.
5. Being home with the boys alone this week has been easier than I imagined. Of course we still have 3.5 days left...
6. I could not be a stay ay home mom. My hats go off to those of you who are.
7. Grayson has relized that staying home with me isn't as much fun as swimming and playing with his friends at school. He just asked to go back to school. I wish, dude. I could use some "me" time.
8. Grayson also asked if we could go pick up Carter. He said that he misses his brother. Awww.
9. We're going to head over to Sams to get milk and strawberries. Not so much because we need them immediately, but because I need to get out of the house.
10. It has taken me nearly 90 minutes to complete this (playing in between typing!)
1) For once I'm not procrastinating and I've actually got a nice anniversary surprise in the works for A. I'm looking forward to it because it'll be the first time in months that we will have kid free couple time.
2) Although i'm already having anxiety about being more than 10 minutes away from them...not to mention that I haven't left Rosebud w/ anyone except daycare in a really long time.
3) Its my town's extravaganza week and its so fun to have kids to enjoy it with this year. Last night we went to a big family pool party
4) 8 months and 4 years old are two really good ages. I want to press pause and enjoy for a while.
5) i'm on a mission to get a jeep stoller at a good price. i'm stalking craigslist, but those thinks sell like hotcakes!
6) We brought Rosebud to an ENT yesterday and its looking like she might need to get her adenoids removed. ugh, i'm about to qualify for the frequent flier card at the children's hospital.
7) my stove/oven is out of commission until saturday. i'm gonna have to get really creative with dinners this week...
8) I had mulch delivered two weeks ago and still haven't spread it. I'd just always rather play with the kids!
9) I might be heading to FL for work next week so it'll be a little test run to see how bad FL in July is :P
10) i only have 9 today...
Blogs: Our Growing Family - CT Working Moms

1. I've done more work this morning than ALL day yesterday.
2. I might even keep it up after lunch
3. I finally had an interview last week. I am pretty sure they're hiring someone else (see blog, yesterday, comments specifically)
4. I am trying to motivate myself to go lift.
5. We're taking a road trip w/ C's sister and her BF to Ohio for a wedding this weekend. Its 11 hrs each way, + 2 to our house (we're meeting them at my parents to drop off our dog). I am not thrilled.
6. I don't even like them. (see 5).
7. C started Provera last night. The doc was incredibly unhappy w/ her BW, Clomid response (it was CD 14) etc and decided to kick her back to start. We're moving to injectables.
8. My insurance is amazing.
9. Still need a new job, see #3.
10. And a baby
I'm sure the past couple months have been really really hard, but I just wanted to say that I'm so impressed by how you've been handling it - even if it does involve the occasional frosting indulgence
hehe. I hope that the injectibles bring your miracle!

1. it's lunch time but I'm not really hungry.
2. I have a huge office supply order taking up half the floor in my office, and it's been there for a week.
3. okay, half the floor is an exaggeration. but my office is huge so it's a LOT of stuff. and it really has been there for a week.
4. I only work today and tomorrow and then I'm off for 5 whole days!
5. I'm having trouble focusing.
6. I'm afraid people are going to get annoyed with all the photo posts on my blog.
7. I didn't want to start a whole new blog just for the pictures. I wish I knew how to make a blog that ran through 3 separate feeds--1 for everything, 1 for general stuff, and 1 for photos. I know it's possible! but probably not with my free account.
8. I need some new shirts, especially work shirts.
9. my wife is going to the doctor for her back today. it's gone out like 3 times in the last month or something ridiculous like that. it sucks and I hope they can fix it, fast.
10. I should go try to find some lunch now...
1. It has been FAR TOO LONG since I have posted here.
2. In my time away from this site I was working through the difficult process of deciding to end things with my GF of the past 2 years.
3. I broke things off in mid-June. It.was.hard. I loved her very much but when openness and honesty are in question, I just can't accept less.
4. Having a child brings perspective to everything--is this what you want your child to find acceptable? Nope. Okay, you know what to do.
5. I am taking some "me" time now to work on projects/chores that I have put off and to get my finances in order so maybe I'll be able to buy my own place in the next year or two.
6. Last week I joined a local GLBT group for outdoor adventures. I am super excited to get out and make some new friends and have some fun!
7. My DD is just the sweetest thing ever. So thankful for all the hugs and kisses a 4 year old can offer.
8. I have lurked here occasionally in the past few months trying to keep up on all the new babies and the growing kiddos and I am so happy for all of you with children and hopeful for those who are trying.
9. I need to get some serious work done today, my focus has been less than stellar lately.
10. I hope I am still welcome to post here even though I am single. Someday I will meet a special girl that will put me back in the coupledom category.
welcome back - I say post away!
1. I had IUI try #2 last week (Thursday and Friday), and it's all I can think about
2. My best friend just called me today to tell me she and her husband are expecting. She got her positive test last Thursday.
3. I feel like I'm turning into a terrible person, because when she told me, all I wanted to do was cry. I am actually jealous, not that she is having a baby, but that she has access to free sperm. How twisted is that?
4. 1 more week until I can take a test. I'm not feeling any different whatsoever though, so I think this cycle was a bust.
5. I don't like that this process is making me obsessive. I feel sorry for DW, lol.
6. I lurk here often, but don't post much. I should change that. I like reading everyone's posts!
7. Chicago summer is shaping up nicely, and I'm looking forward to having tomorrow off.
8. I'm thinking of nixing acupuncture. $75 a week is really expensive.
9. I could go for a steak. But that's not going to happen... but it sounds good!
10. I recommended a friend from my old workplace for a job at my current workplace. I hope that doesn't end up being a bad idea...
1. Julie gets hers removed on Monday. I'll let you know how it goes, all though I'm sure it's MUCH differant at 24 rather than 8months. I'm dreading it though, I do not want my love in that much pain.
2. Work has me working crazy hours. Try 7a-8p without a lunch for crazy.
3. Because of 2. I'm sooo behind in school, I'll be surprised if I don't fail something this summer semester, oh wait, I'm already failing both of my classes. Shoot me.
4. I'm hunting for a new job because of 2 & 3, but the paycheck is hard to walk away from, but I WANT an education.
5. I got new shoes today. They make me happy.
6. I feel like a failure because of 3.
7. I hate the olive garden commericals, i hate olive garden too.
8. I have a 3 day weekend coming up b/c of Julie's surgery. She wants me to try and schedule some interviews for that day, but I just want to be with her all day.
9. My sister leaves for Basic Training in 25 days, i'm going to miss her so bad.
10. We are going to the Wisconsin Dells next weekend.
DD had her adenoids out and ear tubes put in last August. The surgery was fairly quick, 45 minutes for both procedures, adenoids took about 30 minutes alone. She wasn't allowed to talk for a week (very hard for a then 5 year old) and got to eat all the popsicles and ice cream she wanted. Everything healed up quickly and nothing seemed to bother her after the first day.
If you are comfortable with your doctor, ask him/her to explain the procedure in detail, the process of administering anesthesia and how she will react when she wakes up. Our doctor was very patient with us and showed us exactly where the adenoids are, told us why they needed to be removed and the consequences if they weren't removed. On the day of surgery DD got very nervous and was given an oral medication to relax her, it made her kind of loopy but they were able to get her into the OR without a fuss. She took to one of the OR nurses who held her hand on the way to the OR and until she fell asleep.
After surgery she was out of it for most of the day and very hoarse when she tried to talk. The day after surgery was a normal day, she just wasn't allowed to speak.
HTH! I know the age difference of all our children is huge but this was my experience.
Two Mommies Healing Hearts
1. Better late than never?
2. I've been so busy at work lately, I've barely had time to do anything.
3. The Hilton HHonors website is the worst. It's making me particularly angry this morning.
4. I started this post about 3 times yesterday but I kept getting interrupted. Let's see if I can finish this time.
5. We have friends coming into town this weekend. We haven't seen them in a few months, so it will be good. I took charge of dinner reservations for all 3 nights though because they always pick places where we end up spending $250+ per couple each night. Sorry, not happening.
6. I've somehow turned into an unofficial mentor to a friend's girlfriend who recently graduated from my college. It makes me feel strangely grown up! But it also makes me feel good because I'm now able to pass on advice given to me by my mentors.
7. I forgot to bring skim milk for my coffee to the office. There is a very delicious new flavor, but I'm stuck with half and half. Definitely more delicious than skim milk, but not as good for me!
8. I'm not so excited about having to travel for the next 3 weeks. I'm hoping August and September are not travel-heavy, though I already know of two travel weeks during September.
9. Somehow I've gotten hooked on The Real L Word. Nothing about that show resembles anyone's real life that I know, but for some reason I just can't stop watching!
10. I can't believe I actually made it to #10!
Thanks
Early welcome to WI! Hope you have a great time!
Welcome back and congrats on TTC - you were married here in Madison, right?
