We made it! This has been a long week for some reason.
I'm so annoyed at our receptionist right now. She's filling in while our normal receptionist is out of town but I cannot figure out why she can't do the job. Yesterday I received a package at around 11 am. She never told me it was here. She saw me around 10 times and spoke to me on the phone probably 15 times after it was delivered but never mentioned it. I found out as I was leaving because she finally said "Oh, you got a package." Really? She's supposed to call back when packages arrive because you never know if it's important (I had told her I was expecting a package - it wasn't important but I didn't tell her that). More annoying? She OPENED my package.
THEN this morning when I got here she handed me a post it note with two phone messages on it. A post it. Because she says she didn't have a chance to write it in the log book. Um, you HAVE to put it in the log book. That's how we keep track of everyone's calls. I don't care if the phone rings at 4:59 as you are walking out, you write it down in the log book if it means staying over a couple minutes.
Ugh. I can't wait for Kay to return.

Could be better. The washing machine decided to stop working. It just hums and acts like it wants to start but won't start spinning. So I called the repair people and they will come Tuesday. Thank goodness I had already washed the last load of laundry but it didn't drain completely so the clothes are soaking wet. I'm having to dry them in very small loads and it's going to take forever. Why does this stuff always happen before you go out of town? At least we purchased the extended warranty because MH thinks it's the motor and that will be expensive!
So on a happier note I have a doctors appt in 45mins and then work for an hour after that and then I'm off to finish getting ready for the trip and waiting on hubby to get off and then we are out of here! Just hope he gets off at a decent time because he said they were super busy. We are driving the whole trip (9.5hrs) tonight.
Mandy, that's annoying. When does your normal receptionist return?
