Recs for a birthday party downtown
Happy Friday everyone!
My birthday is next month and DH wants to plan a little get together for us and some of our friends. Since we're new to the area and have a 14 mo old, we don't really have any ideas of where to go for a fun night out. We typically like lounges, wine bars, martini bars, and the like. Somewhere with good music, and anything with an outdoor area is a plus. (If anyone is familiar with or from the East side of the state, our preferred places to go in Royal Oak were Ronin, Good Night Gracie's, and Vinotecca)
Any suggestions I can look into are appreciated! TIA!

I'm not super familar with downtown, but you might like Eve at The B.O.B.
We had a group of 15-20 there after a friend's wedding last fall. We had bottle service and a small area reserved for our group. They have a DJ and dancefloor, but the area we were in was quiet enough for conversations. No outdoor space, though.
Bar Divani takes large group reservations too. We hosted a small post-wedding rehearsal party for a good friend's wedding there (years ago). My cousin had part of her bachelorette party there this year. Both times, the service was very good. Plus, the wine list is fantastic.
Since I am originally from the GR (moved away before college though) and now live on the East-Side, I can make a few suggestions based on your usual East-side preferences....
I would recommend Bistro Bella Vita (probably just to start out though), The B.O.B., Bar Divani, and Republic... hope that helps!
