Need recs for spas and bars around Napa valley

So im the moh for a friends wedding and for her bachelorette party she wants to go to a spa, dinner and to a few bars.  I live 2 hrs away from her and everyone else going in the central valley.  What are some good spas around Napa valley and bars.  I know Napa and that area does not have any bars but we can go to petaluma or walnut creek areas aswell.  The party is in aug and I need to get the invites out next week.

TIA

  • I only know of Solage in Calistoga.  I have only ever eaten dinner here but their space is beautiful and the food was amazing.

    The Yelp reviews seem good:

  • That's a pretty big range, do you have anything already planned?

Nothing besides spa, dinner and 1-3 bars.  I think I want to keep the spa in Napa, Yountville, St. Helena or Calistoga that way anyone not able to go to the spa but still wants to go to dinner and drinking can meet at the brides home and go.  Since I cant drink im going to take as many as I can fit in my car (which should be the whole party but 1-3 people and im sure if her soon to be mil goes she will drive her self) unless everyone going wants to pitch in for a limo because its not in my budget to pay for a limo.  I know for sure there is really no bars in Napa besides downtown Joes which is fine but she does not want to go there for the party.  So im either thinking going towards Walnut creek or that area for some if any are out there or Petaluma area if they have some out there.  We will either eat dinner in Napa before we go or eat in the area we are at for the bar which ever area that is.  I just really dont want to drive to the city for that but if we need to we will.

There should only be 7-10 people going and I think that includes the bride.

  • Well if you don't want to drive Ana's cantina in St. Helena is fun with a group. Sonoma doesn't offer any dancing but it's pretty busy on the weekends with bachelorette parties, and you could hit up spas there... It seems to me that driving from Napa to Walnut Creek and back all in the same day would be a major time drain.
  • Driving to walnut creek is not that bad.  We Live in Modesto and she lives in Napa so we often drive and meet in walnut creek for lunch on the weekends.  I will look at Ana's cantina.  We dont have to dance the girls just want to drink a little and chat manily.  But everyone wants more then one bar.  What do most people do in Sonoma for Bachelorette parties.  Mine was in Tahoe the night before my wedding and I moved from Napa 6 years ago when I was 20 so I really did not do much of spas or anything like that when I lived there (have not done any here either).  We could also do Spas in Sonoma and have the girls meet us at dinner there as well.
  • There are bars in Petaluma...but the ones in Santa Rosa are better.

There is a nice spa in Calistoga, Indian Springs, but not very many bars in that town. Most people who live in Calistoga go to Santa Rosa for bars.

  • If all you're looking for in a bar is a nice atmosphere where you can drink and chat, I wouldn't dismiss Napa and the surrounding area so quickly!  In Napa, I love the bar at Zins Valley and the lounge area in Cuvee.  Those two are kinda swanky.  There's also a pool hall that has only beer (but tons of it--like fifty on tap) at about Randolph and 3rd--it's always fun.  It's more of a dive feel, but still plenty well-lit and safe.

Further north in the valley, I love-love-love Fume Bistro's bar.  They've got a ton of wine, lots of specialty cocktails, and the bartenders and manager are all great.  I also love the atmosphere at Martini House, up in St. Helena.

As for spas, I'll second Silverado.  The whole place feels relaxing and there are a ton of things to do during your day at the spa.  Contrast that to my experience at a couple places in Calistoga, where *everything* was al a carte, and it's a clear winner.

If you do go to Walnut Creek, I also love the bar at Ruth's Chris for sitting, drinking, and talking (I even got engaged there!).  And there are a ton of bars walking distance from the restaurant.
