ah back to normal...almost
We came home from vacation to find our house infested with fleas. I guess one of our pets brought them in just before we left so by the time we got home our house was totally infested. We tried to deal with it ourselves but we had to have an exterminator come in. The result was a week in hotels (had to leave the first one because it was booked up past Wednesday) but we finally got home on Friday. I have to put all of our now clean clothes away and pass a vacuum all over the house, put all of our furniture back weed my gardens and in one week I can actually wash my floors again.
It has been a high stress week and DH and I had huge plans this weekend to get everything back to normal again. I made it as far as washing all of DD's plastic toys, cutting the grass and weeding one of the gardens and I crashed. While I was doing the lawn, DH was putting clothes away (we had to wash EVERYTHING) he sat down on the couch and I came in to find DD and DH snuggling and passed out, while seated, on the couch. I joined them and we basically stayed that way all weekend. It feels good to home.
Now we just need to find out if the insurance company will pay for the extermination and hotel stays that would be awesome. I didn't know it was an option until a friend of mine mentioned it. Fingers crossed.

Some home owners insurance policies cover infestations and exterminations. A friend of mine had something similar happen to her house and her insurance covered it.
