Big news on the job front
I've been offered a job in Panama for when I graduate. All I have to do is come down for the official interview in September. So, I might be a long distance nestie come December. Had to pass on the good news.
The job is with a company I have been following for 4 years that initially started in Costa Rica but have moved to Panama for their main offices and treatment centers for adult stem cell transplants. Im super exited. Duck however, is not so much. So.... going to be a lot of tough decisions. If everything works out, I know in my heart I would take the job because it would give me incredible International experience and would definitely take my career to a more clinical role than sales or marketing as it would be if I went into industry.

Joining late, had a technology free weekend -- but CONGRATS!
Panama is beautiful! I've spent a lot of time there for work, and have contacts in the area if you ever need some non-work interaction. I hear you on it being hard for Duck to be excited, too - He definitely needs to go on that September trip with you.. would you guys be living in the downtown area? That part is super modern, and you'll have Costa Rica just a jump away, tons of good things about it (i'm sure you know)!

OF... Thanks! I would love to talk to you more about it. I have a few contacts down there but most are out of the city proper. Most likely I would go first for a while and stay downtown. Duck is excited about it, but he has to work things out with his company if that's possible. If not, well then it will have to be a long distance relationship for a while, which we are both ok with.
But yeah, downtown at first, but hoping to find a place outside the city if we decide to permanently move down there. The bonus is Duck can bring his boat down and get some good use out of it. He's just worried about being able to find a job down there. And yes, Costa Rica is not but a bit away and we have a family friend in Nicaragua who is like a second dad to me.
