I have a quick vent!
We closed registration for Conference last Wednesday to give us time to print tickets, badges, etc. They can still register on-site but prices go up.
Friday I got tons of phone calls from people wanting to register last minute - I do it anyway because it's not that much extra work, but none of them actually apologize or ask if they can still register, they just assume.
So I get in this morning and there was a message on the phone from someone wanting to register 4 people. She doesn't say "I know I'm past the deadline, but would I still be able to register?" She simply says, "Hi, I need to register 4 people for the conference, please call me back."
Gah! I feel like telling her she has to pay the on-site price!!!
Re: What part of "deadline" do people not understand?
I feel your pain Caroline! We have a scheduling deadline EVERY SINGLE DAY at 11am (we scheudle commercials for the next day at 11am on the day prior), do you know how many times my sales people call me after 11 and want to get a commercial on for the next day.
If I had a dollar for each time it happens, I would be a millionaire!
