Friday DH & I both took the day off! We went to the Art Museum, had lunch at Barry's, shopped for some bathroom stuff at Home Depot and did some grocery shopping. Went over to a friend's house in the evening.
Saturday I rode my bike over to my parents house and hung out there for a little bit. Then came home and did laundry/cleaning around the house. Had friends over in the evening.
Yesterday we cleaned up in the basement so that there's easy access to the pipes for when we start our bathroom remodel (yay!!).
Friday we stayed in and rented a movie - Brooklyn's Finest. Don't recommend it.
Saturday - worked all day. I found it next to impossible to get out of bed Saturday morning. Saturday night I met my mom and some of her friends (people she worked with 20+ years ago and I worked with one of them 10 years ago) at Carmel's. That has to be the poorest ventilated patio in the city of Toledo. I felt like I had been smoking all evening by the time I got home.
Sunday, worked in Monroe. Then did absolutely nothing.
I got back from Louisville late Friday and was exhausted since I was out until 3am the night before
Saturday we hung out and DH saw cricut cartridges at Menards for $22 so we went there to check them out. I thought that was sweet he pointed them out to me. Unfortunately, they only had one type left and I already had that one. We did try a new restaurant though that was pretty good for a local place, although pricey.
Sunday we hung out in the morning and then went by the airport for a lunch picnic to see some of the airshow (w/out paying). It was hot and near Alex's naptime so we only lasted about an hour. Later that afternoon we got all the wallpaper taken down in the nursery, which was way easier than I thought it was going to be. I ran out of the solution I bought at Lowe's and finished up with vinegar and water (equal parts). It worked great. I'd heard of using fabric softner and water but we didn't have any. Other than that we just relaxed.
we went to my parent's summer place in eastern ohio for the weekend. went to the beach and a local festival, so it was pretty busy.
yesterday after getting back home, we had to unload, freshen up, and then back on the road for a memorial service in michigan for a friend of ours.
today...i could so use a much needed power nap. i'm beat.
It was very nice. After work on Saturday I headed home, changed and we hit the road for Cinci. Just as we were getting to the hotel it started to rain but was done by the time we got to our room so we dropped off our stuff and headed to the game. The weather was pretty good for baseball, and the Reds won.
Sunday we got up and walked around downtown Cinci for a couple of hours and then saw Inception (very good movie!) then we went to Ikea and had lunch, bought our dresser and headed home. We had to stop part way and get plastic to cover the dresser box because it started to rain but we got it covered up in time and it stayed dry so everything worked out ok. Now I have to go to work at noon.
I started on antibiotics for a UTI so I had to wean Jake cold turkey on Friday because I can't nurse on the antibiotics. It was really rough on me emotionally for a few days, but Jake seems to understand he can't nurse anymore and my supply obviously was pretty much gone because I had very little engorgement and no pain from it.
Saturday we had a cook out and a fire with a few of our neighbors
Sunday, didn't really do anything, Jake had a rough night last night because of molar #3 coming in and was up from 4 am to 9 am. He's peacefully napping right now and I got my nap in too.
Friday -nothing
Saturday, R and I went for a long walk to the park with friends and after his nap we went to the pool. (DH needed us to leave....)
Sunday, we golfed with my parents in the afternoon. It was REALLY hot. My mom and I only played 9, which was all I could handle. DH and my dad played 18. When DH got home, we cooked steaks on the grill and had shrimp and corn on the cob! Such a yummy dinner.
We spent the rest of the evening watching Shrek on TBS!
I am so busy these days it isnt even funny.
Friday I decorated 6 cakes and 2 dozen cupcakes.
Saturday ran some errands cleaned the house and went to FFB to see Brad Williams. SO FUNNY!
Sunday to we went to Cleveland to see the Indians whoop all over the tigers.
