They keep talking about how difficult it is to work with brides who have negative body images. The chick is anorexic. Let's just say it. You can see hip bones through the dress.
Re: Say Yes to the Dress
From which person? Did you spend 20k on a dress? They seem to think that 5k is absolutely impossible to deal with.
Judy was my saleslady. I watched the first season, and she was only ever shown in the background. Anna, the Polish lady, was my seamstress.
They dealt with far less than $5K with me. They were actually very enjoyable to deal with.
OMG Anna the Polish seamstress was the talk of the town when I was planning my wedding. I wound up using someone in my hometown but she was one of those vendors that EVERYONE mentioned.
Husbands should be like Kleenex: Soft, strong, and disposable.
Please to describe Judy so I can be on the lookout.
Did you see the one with the crazy brown lipliner? Why doesn't the fashion director tell her no on that?
I see a lot of $3K budgets.
Judy is in her 50s, tall, with short dark hair. I *think* she wears glasses. I also had the manager with the shaky voice. She touched my boobs. You know, when she measured me.
I just put it back on my DVR.
Me too. The woman with the lip liner and mole sold me my dress.
Did you have to keep saying to yourself, "don't stare at the liner"?
Yes. I mean, she was nice and helped me get the dress I want, but I wanted to say, "Please explain to me why you think that makeup is flattering."
That show is so my guilty pleasure. I didn't have the budget (or type of wedding) to justify even browsing there, but it would have been fun.
However I have a SIL who wants to go there when it's her turn, so yay! Fingers crossed for lipliner lady. She's got awful taste in makeup but she sure seems to know bridal gowns.
Mucho likes purple nails and purple cupcakes
I'm addicted to that show. I can't help but watch it if it's on.
And that lady's lip liner is redonk. It looks like she ate a turd. Kudos to you, HT, for being able to concentrate at all on the dresses and not stare at her the entire time
Eh, I went to Kleinfeld's and wasn't too impressed, but that may be the fault of my salesperson. I told her I didn't want to spend more than around $2k and she kept bringing me dresses between $3k and $3500. Uh, no thanks.
They do have quite a selection though. And the Manhattan store is much nicer than their old B'klyn place.
Agreed. I was surprised that Carrie Underwood chose a lace corset top.
most of the brides who choose that dress look like white trash. rich white trash, but still. they mostly seem to have fake tits and large amounts of botox and lip collagen too.

Bridals by Lori. Here's a story on it.
I think the NYC one will still have new episodes. They are just adding Atlanta.
