My MIL just called to warn me that we are getting a tornado! Is anyone worried? I hear it storming out there, but I never really get frightened about weather.
Re: Tornado!
What? Really?
I see you have severe t-storm warning there!
I grew up with tornados. It is not flat enough your way for one to do much damage, but just stay away from windows because the wind may be bad. And keep your dog close by because you don't want him to get freaked out and run (like bust through a window...)
I love me some severe weather! Must be the southern girl in me because I get cranky if I go too long without a nasty thunderstorm.
I love thunderstorms too!
I feel like the news often makes a bigger deal out of the weather than it really is so I never get excited about it.
My dog is frightened! He just put himself in his crate. He never does this. Poor little guy.
As usual, this seems to be the case :-P The thunderstorms were awesome, but telling us to hide in the basement was a bit of an overreaction!
Ha ha ha. Yup. My MIL kept telling me that on the phone..."just go down to your basement. Take the chickens and the dog, and get down there."
my blog
HAHA!! Not that I don't think you should save the chickens, but that sounds hilarious.
I think the best part of the overreaction was after it had passed through some places, and the news was all disappointed that there weren't any reports of damage. They kept saying 'it may be that people still haven't been able to leave their basements to assess the damage!' I was practically rolling with laughter.
hilarious! I think all it did was rain! We had some lightning, but the storm never got bad enough to wake me up! (or I was just THAT tired)
he he he he. It was pretty early. The thunder and lightening was a little bit loud...loud enough to frighten Mr. Fuzzypants into his crate, but not too too loud.
