Missing gifts?
Okay so I was a registry stalker and would get really excited about some of the gifts we were getting. So imagine my dismay when, nearly a month after the big day, some of the "fulfilled" items have not shown up. What does this mean? Did it happen to you? And to add insult to injury we got a TON of duplicate gifts. WTH?

Were your duplicates from Target? I have heard that happens a lot with them.
We had ONE gift that was MIA for over a month...sheets! I kept waiting for them to come to the house since they were bought over a month before the wedding. But we got them AFTER the honeymoon. My cousin bought them and was SLOOOOOW at sending them.

Back in June 2010...
I wasn't a big stalker, but when we took some stuff back after the wedding, we printed off the registry to see what was left that we really wanted to buy ourselves. There was only one thing- one of our muffin pans- that has been 'fulfilled' that we haven't gotten. Weird, I know. I keep thinking maybe it was supposed to be sent to us (or maybe they plan on mailing it themselves) and it just hasn't gotten here.
And I definitely feel you on the duplicate gifts. We got 5 (yes FIVE) sets of measuring spoons when we asked for one. We got an extra set of our dishes, two extra sets of pilsner glasses... Seriously, people? You go to the store, look at the registry, pick out something on it, and you don't ask the cashier to take it off the list?
we were missing some gifts for a while, but that was because my co-worker hadn't had the chance to bring them by.
BUT the only gift that we got duplicates (4 of them actually) was a cutting board that we DIDN'T register for!!! i have no idea what happened. lol.

Is it either of your birthdays soon? Maybe someone bought you gifts off of your registry- both of our parents did that for our birthdays before the wedding!

I totally registry stalked, and noticed that our knives were our first registry item to go, well after months of not receiving them (not even at the shower) prior to the wedding I was at Macy's and talked to one of the wedding registry people to see if they could see if it was something that was suppose to be shipped to me (to ensure it was not lost etc) well it ended up being a computer glitch and she could not explain why it happened, thankfully I checked and they fixed it. Ended up getting them for a wedding gift
Maybe call the store and ask if they were shipped or something. GL
We had tons of stuff purchased and put on our registry and then looking back we were like what is this we didnt register for it. The stuff was bought in MN and I guess got put on our registry by mistake. I know we are still missing gifts too but I know a couple people said they still have gifts for us. I guess technically they have a year.
We got alot of duplicate things and alot of things that I didnt remember registering for but we did.. Dont let DH use the scanner lol.
If you are looking for items missing off of a Macy's registry you can see who bought the missing gifts. Go to the Registry Manager and then click on Manage My Thank You Cards. It should give you a list of who bought what items. Perhaps those people just haven't sent them to you yet.
We had a set of hand towels go missing. I'm not 100% sure they were in the package when we opened it but they came off the registry and were on the invoice. When we got home after the honeymoon they weren't with the rest of the items that came with that gift. I was really bummed out about that because I'm usually so careful with my belongings and very rarely do things go missing.

We had a couple things on our registry that never showed up. We also had a couple people not show up for the wedding so who knows.
The weird thing is that my aunt called me a few times after the wedding making sure she had our information because she was getting stuff sent to us from Target and Sur La Table. The box from Target arrived weeks ago but nothing else. I feel weird asking her about the other box in case she changed her mind or something but maybe it got lost in the mail and wouldn't she want to know about it? I don't know, it's a weird situation. Maybe I'll just put the things we did get from her on our thank you card and that way it's not like we're asking for more.
