Adventures in Daycare
Last night H and I went to look at a daycare place. There were a lot of things wrong with this place but I will just give you the best example.
This is a daycare in someones house. When we got there we went through the main door with the sign on it and there were three ways to go once you were inside. Right was the garage with the door open about 2 feet. Straight were some stairs with a door on top and to the left was another door. I went up the stairs to try that door and H peeked in the garage door. Turns out we were both wrong and it was the door on the left.
H didn't tell me this until we left but when he opened the door to the garage there was a bed in the middle of the garage with a naked woman sleeping on it. NAKED. In the garage. Door open. 5 feet from the entrance of a daycare.
All night H kept saying "I saw a naked woman tonight. At a daycare."
I'm really glad we saw 2 great ones before this one or I'd be moving to a less expensive area so I could stay home for good.

I'm recalling a movie where the kids were taken to a naked school run by some peace&love type folks. I'm guessing this was not a place like that.
I suppose nudists need daycare too! :-)

That is just . . . very strange, BB. Ask your H if the nekkid woman was in a sheet or what--just sprawled out on the mattress? This is just so curious.
Were there actually children at the day care when you visited? Was this place recommended by someone or was it just in a location you like?
And you're saying there was MORE wrong than what you have already described?
There was still one child, a one year old, at the daycare when we visited. Our appointment was at 6pm.
Yeah, there was no structure, the place wasn't that clean, she really had nothing to tell us about what they do all day and the backyard play area was all concrete.
It's just a place we found online that's in our town so we figured we'd check it out.

Ditto. I haven't read one thing about that story that is ok in a daycare. You could totally throw out the naked woman and the place would still be shut down for violations (concrete playgrounds, no visitor control, access to unsafe areas, no gates blocking stairs, etc., etc.)
Jumping on the call bandwagon. This place sounds super scary and some of the parents may not even be aware of some of this stuff going on.
