Well I guess I have to ask for T&Ps now. The marchies have had a rough go of it lately it seems.
We got a phone call last night from FIL that DH's little cousin who is only 10 (she was our Jr. BM) fainted yesterday and was in the hospital. When she was brought in she failed the initial light in the eyes exam (excuse my lack of proper medical terminology) and they realized right away that it might be a neurological problem, she couldn't focus her eyes. She has been having headaches, no appetite and not being her happy/bubbly self lately.
They immediately did a CT and feared that it might be a brain tumor. The results showed a hematoma (bleed in the brain) not a tumor. I guess the hematoma is old and had stopped bleeding. But was putting pressure on her frontal lobe, thus causing her symptoms and change in personality. They are doing a full neuro work-up on her this week, her Mom is an ICU nurse so she is definitely in good care.
Please keep her in your prayers. She is an amazing little girl. She dances (ballet) with the Conservatory in the city she lives in and performed with the Cuban national ballet in the "Nutcracker" last Christmas. She is also an incredible sprinter and holds the first place title for the city-wide meet (this spring) for her age group/event. She is the sweetest little girl and called me on Saturday to see how her Timmy was doing (DH) becuase she was watching him on TV, she has been so worried about his knee. Since DH is an only child she is more like a younger sibling than a cousin. Totally breaks my heart that she, her parents and brothers are going through this. I'll keep you ladies updated!
