Need some food inspiration
I was just told by H that my BIL and his gf are coming over for dinner tonight. (Thanks for the notice H!)
I have a pound of ground beef thawed out but am kind of looking for inspiration of what to make. I'm tired of all the norms.. Spaghetti and tacos.
Any ideas??
Re: Need some food inspiration
You could make meatball subs, feta and spinach burgers (my favorite).
I looked on food.com and found a recipe for Szechuan Noodles
You can make what I call "Poor Man's Stroganoff"
Just scramble up the meat and drain the grease. Add a packet of stew seasoning and an 8 oz container of sour cream and 1/2 cup to 1 cup of water (depending on how saucey you want it) stir it all together and viola! Instant stroganoff. You can get real fancy and add mushrooms if you like. Pour the mix on egg noodles or white rice along side some mixed veggies. Serve a hearty bread like artisan bread with it. Super easy and super cheap! But mostly super delicious!!!!!!!!
Velveeta Nach Bake! DH loves it, we just had it sunday!
1 pkg. Velveeta Shells and Cheese Dinner
1lb ground beef
1 pkg. taco mix
3/4 cup water
3/4 cup sour cream
2/4 cup shredded cheddar
1/2 cup crushed tortilla chips
1. preheat oven to 400 degrees. Prepare the shells and cheese according to package. Brown ground beef
2. Stir sour cream in the shells and cheese. Mix the taco mix, water and ground beef together and simmer about 5 minutes
3. put 1/2 of velveeta mix in the bottom of an 8 inch pan, layer with all the beef and 1/2 of the cheese. Cover and bake 15 min
4. remove cover, top with chip and remaining cheese and bake 5 more minutes.
Yum those all sound good! I'm going to save all of them to try!
I have all of the ingredients for the Nacho Bake so I won't have to go to the store so that one it is!
Thanks for the help!

Shepherds pie, baked ziti, lasagna.
You could make hamburgers and add some beer to the mixture and add feta cheese too or what I am making tomarrow is hamburgers with beer in the meat and putting pepperjack cheese in the middle of 2 patties before cooking. Yummy.
At that late notice, my reply would be, "Fun! Where are we ordering pizza from?"

Lol. I wish I could think that quick. I just grumbled and said ok. Yesterday was his birthday so I'm letting him off this time.
