Another board has a post about going on vacation alone. So I thought I'd ask.

If you were to go on vacation alone (without DH or anyone else), where would you go?

To a cabin in a woods that is just a short walk from a beach. I'd bring lots of books and my laptop with all my wedding photos to FINALLY put our album together. Smile

Hubby isn't thrilled with the idea of going to San Fran, but I would love to. So that's on my list.

Also, the Pacific Northwest. I want to go to Seattle.

Backpacking somewhere... I've done a couple trips on my own in the Adirondack mountains and loved it. I would love taking another solo trip but I think DH would want to come with too badly

I honestly don't know that I could go on a vacation by myself, I'd get lonely or bored. I've never been one who's big on spending time alone, just not my thing.

Any place I could sleep in, lay out all day, and read would be perfection. I would need to be able to order room services though, I don't like eating out by myself and I wouldn't want to have to cook.

I wouldnt really go anywhere. I live 15 minutes from the beach, so I would just find somewhere Jaiden could go and leave him for a few hours and go relax at the beach solo.

I've gone to NYC by myself many, many, many times. I've also gone to Austin by myself once. Really, I'd probably feel comfortable going most places by myself--although, in China or Taiwan it would be best if DH is there since he speaks Chinese.

I have a feeling I'll definitely be going on a vacation by myself because MH doesn't really enjoy traveling all that much. I want to head back to Idaho and visit some friends from law school and I'm not sure he really wants to do that. If I ever make it to Ireland it will be by myself because he has absolutely no desire to travel internationally.

I'm going to have to second the beach vacation. DH likes to be doing things on vacation, and doesn't understand how I can lay on the beach all day reading, sleeping, or listening to my ipod. He's always asking "What's next?" I'd just like some peace and quiet!!

Hahahaha... I'm glad it's not just my DH!

I'd probably go to France. DH has no interest. Although, that would be fun with my Mom and sister or girlfriends. Maybe China or India. I don't think I know anyone (DH included) who would want to go either of those places!
