Good News Tuesday!

Okay I totally made that shiznit up, but it's still good news.

Yesterday MIL and FIL went to the radioligist.  There are 3 tiny spots on her brain that are all less than 1 mm.  Starting Monday, she'll undergo 5 days of radiation tratments back to back to zap 'em.  Then they'll see if anymore needs to be done or if she'll need surgery (most likely not).

They've also set up a schedule to keep a very close eye on her brain so that it doesn't reappear or get worse.

So yay for good news this week.  Hopefully it'll stay that way for a while.

Re: Good News Tuesday!

  • I should probably point out (which I assume you all know) that I'm not glad she has them.  I'm just happy that they're as small as they are and that the treatments will be happening soon and very rapidly (15 min ea).

    Didn't mean to confuse anyone.

  • That's awesome news!  I'm so glad her Drs are being proactive and you can now tell your other family members to shove it up their ditty bags! Big Smile
  • That is great that she's starting on treatment so soon.

  • That is good news!  If you have to go through something like cancer, the little things can mean a lot.  I hope she does well with the radiation and that it kicks cancers butt!
