Feel like a moron...

Since we joined all of our accounts after the wedding, DH convinced me to use the cc instead of my debit card so that we could get the points.  Free money and all that.  About a month ago we switched to using cash for all spending except bills, and DH goes to the bank to take out our cash for the week.  So basically, I haven't used my debit card since March...

And now I can't remember my PIN!

If it weren't for selling wedding stuff to DW knotties through PayPal (which is connected to my bank account) I don't know when I would have realized that I forgot it!

I guess I'll have to request a new one... I might have to use my debit card again sometime in the next six months.  :)

Anniversary

Re: Feel like a moron...

  • Lmao.  Something similar just happened to me.  We opened a joint checking account.  They sent us our pins in the mail.  I thought I memorized mine but nope!  Had to request a new one.

What's worse is that this isn't even a new account!  We both kept our accounts, just gave each other access, so it should be the same PIN I've been using for a couple of years now.

This would be me as well.  Stick out tongue

  • Hehe. DH rarely ever uses his debit too and it's always amusing to see him panic at the register when he can't remember. Although that will probably be me soon too. I used to use my debit all the time at Costco but now we have an Amex so I haven't used my debit since about May.
  • haha! We never use debit either and we had an issue right before we left for Peru. We realized that although we thought we took enough cash, we weren't sure and wanted to have a credit or debit for back up. But we couldn't remember our pins, and the banks mail them to you rather than tell you over the phone - so we were out of luck! Instead we walked around with $900 between the two of us.
  • I have my PIN in my notes on my phone because I can't remember the darn thing.  So don't feel bad!
