I finally got to hear baby's heartbeat!
It was 154 bpm, now I just have to wait for St. Lukes to call me so I can schedule my ultrasound. I would have scheduled it today, but I wanted to do it on a Friday since DH doesn't work on Fridays, and they don't do ultrasounds on Fridays at the OB office.
Re: I finally got to hear baby's heartbeat!
yeah!!! I have had so many more appts this time it seems. I've already had 2 u/s and have my 2nd OB appt Thursday.
You've got me thinking now though....DS's HBs were always in the 150s and this peanut's have been in the 170s....a girl perhaps?? The ring test says boy though. Have you tried that? It is so weird! It stays completely still over DH's stomach but moves over mine.
I've had 2 ultrasounds also, but they were really early on at 6 and 7 weeks. I tried the ring test with #1, it was inconclusive, lol. This baby's heartbeat has been a little slower than what J's were. His were always in the 150's or 160's and were in the 170's-180's early in the pregnancy, so I don't believe that a fast heartbeat = a girl.
They found the heartbeat right where I have been feeling movement, so at least I know I'm not crazy now!
And I know the ring test is just BS, but it has worked on literally everyone I've ever done it to / had do it. You can do it over your hand too, not just bellies.
I've had my mom do it, my MIL do it, SIL do it, friend's mom do it etc. and it has been right every single time. (Oh, and I never tell them in advance what it means, so there's no making it sway a certain way because they expect it to).
